5. FINANCIAL INFORMATION
5.1 Tuition The annual tuition fee is payable in: · Ten monthly payments, August - May · Two semester payments, due on September 25 & February 25 · One yearly payment, due on September 25

5.2 International Student Fees and Charges Tuition for international students is $600.00/month or $6,000.00/year. Registration and processing fees amount to $250.00 to be paid at the time of enrollment. All other fees and charges are applicable.
5.3 Additional Fees
5.3.1 Application Fee A non-refundable $25.00 fee is required for each student making application for admission or re-admission. This will be applied toward the registration fees upon admission.
5.3.2 Registration Fee Registration fees are billed on the 10th of July and due by the 25th of July. The registration fee for K-8th grade students is $325.00. The registration fee helps finance textbooks, update technology, purchase student insurance, stock earthquake kits, and fund other expenses as they may arise.
5.3.3 Field Trips Some field trips may require funds from home. Advance notice will be given to the parent in the event that this should happen.
5.3.4 Classroom Support Our hot lunch program provides the main source of income for our classrooms. Each class is responsible for hosting the hot lunch four times a year. Profits from this program go directly to benefit the host class. Parents are asked to support this fundraiser by contributing $40.00/year to this fund, enabling the class to cut the costs and receive a greater profit each time they host lunch.
5.3.5 School T-shirt Each student must have a blue school t-shirt. School t-shirts are required for field trips and other off campus occasions. The cost for a t-shirt is $10.00 and may be purchased through the office
5.4 Elective Charges
5.4.1 Extended Care Fees Beginning at
5.4.2 Hot Lunch/Pizza Program Students may choose to purchase pizza by the slice on Mondays and/or hot lunches on Wednesdays. The cost is $1.25/slice of cheese pizza and $1.50/slice of veggie pizza. The cost for hot lunch for our K-2 students is $2.50 and $3.00 for grades 3-8. The hot lunch program serves meals such as haystacks, pasta, burritos, etc and always includes a drink, dessert and/or veggies. Parents have the option to prepay for these meals at the beginning of the semester or send money in with their child on the mornings that he/she will be purchasing lunch.
5.4.3 Lost Library Book Charge In order for CVAS to maintain an up-to-date, well-stocked library, students must take care of and be responsible for the library books they check out. Students are allowed to check two books out at a time, for a period of one month. The charge for lost library books is $10.00 per book.
5.4.4 Music Fees
5.4.5 Damaged Textbook and/or Property Charge Normal wear is expected on school textbooks, restroom stalls, PE equipment, desks, etc, that are provided for the students’ use. Students damaging school property due to carelessness, neglect or vandalism, however, will be charged for the replacement and/or repairs.
5.4.6 School Supplies In the summer, all students will receive a school supply list. It is important the each student have his/her own supplies for school each day. Please bring these requested supplies to the first day of school.
5.5 Discounts
5.5.1 Family Discount Families with more than one child will receive a $100.00 discount per year for the second child and $200.00 discount per year for the third child.
5.5.2 Referral Discount As an incentive for families who encourage their friends to attend our school, a referral discount plan is provided. A 10% discount in the annual tuition charges will be given both to the current student and their recruited friend that enrolls at
5.5.3 Semester Discount A discount of 5% applies if full semester tuition is paid by September 25 for the first semester and February 25 for the second semester.
5.6 Past Due Procedures · A late charge of $10.00 may be assessed after the 25th of the month for unpaid balances. · If the account is not paid in full by the next statement date (the 10th of the month), the account may be referred to our third-party collections agency, Transworld Systems, Inc. for further review. If that occurs, you may expect the following things to happen: o Notices sent to your home from TSI, requesting immediate payment. o Transferal of account to credit management services if payment is not received in a timely manner. Parents are strongly encouraged to keep their accounts current, not only so that our school may continue to operate with a sound financial basis, but also because a past due account may jeopardize the student’s standing and attendance at our school.
5.7 Previous Balances Previous balances from CVAS must be cleared prior to the opening of school unless arrangements have been made with the school administration. A student’s standing and attendance at our school may be jeopardized if a balance exists from one school year to the next.
5.8 Financial Assistance Because it is our desire to provide a Christian education to all who desire, a limited amount of financial assistance is available to families in need. Please contact the school office for more information.
5.9 Financial Contributions
5.9.1 Student Scholarship Fund Contributions to the Student Scholarship Fund at CVAS are always welcome and appreciated. Please contact the school office for information on how to donate to the Student Scholarship Fund.
5.9.2 Twelve-Fold Council The Twelve-Fold Council (TFC) was established for friends, family and community members who have a desire to see spiritual and academic excellence continue to develop at CVAS and who wish to contribute a yearly amount of $1200 towards this purpose. The funds provided by the TFC will go towards the purchase of spiritual and educational materials, student/parent/teacher appreciation, student scholarships and/or any other need that is recognized by the administrator. Please contact the school office for more information on how to become a member of the TFC.
5.10 Graduation accounts Eighth grade students must have their accounts cleared by the administration office before receiving diplomas and final grades. Diplomas will not be given out until all school expenses are cared for.
5.11 Late registrants Students entering after school has begun officially will have tuition charges prorated until the next billing session begins. Late registrants will be required to pay the full registration fee. |
