 12. HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
12.1 Terms of Office
The H&S has four officers: President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer. These offices are elected every two years by general nomination and vote. The H&S president also serves as a member of the CVAS board. H&S members include all of the CVAS school family.
12.2 Meetings
The H&S meets once a month to discuss and plan upcoming school events. Please ask a H&S officer or the office for this year’s schedule of meetings.
12.3 School Events
The H&S works in conjunction with the administration and staff to help coordinate and run school functions. These events include: Get-Acquainted Night, All-American Day, Work-a-thon, Work Bees, School Fair, Christmas & Spring Programs, Talent Show, Staff Appreciation Week, and School Picnic.
12.4 Fundraising
Another important function of the H&S is to organize and coordinate various school fundraisers throughout the year including the Work-a-thon, Cookie Dough fundraiser and Stationary fundraiser. All funds raised through these efforts are used for the benefit of the school at the discretion of the administration and board. |
